What happens before we sell a computer

  1. We take it in

We record the model and serial number and check that it isn’t reported stolen.

  2. Bench test

Keyboard, trackpad, screen, ports, Wi-Fi, camera, speakers and battery health.

  3. Wipe the drive

The old owner’s data is erased and a clean copy of the operating system goes on.

  4. Check the condition

We note any scuffs or marks so you know about them up front.

  5. Ready for its new owner

You get the test results with the computer, so you know what you’re buying.
